Thunder killed alleged kidnappers in Cameroun, not Adamawa
The Police command in Adamawa has confirmed the alleged killing of 18 suspected kidnappers by thunderstorm in neighbouring Republic of Cameroun and never within the state.
That is contained in a press release signed by the spokesman for the command, SP Suleiman Nguroje, on Saturday in Yola.
The police command is reacting to viral social media reviews on Friday that thunderstorm had killed 18 kidnappers in Toungo Native Authorities Space of Adamawa.
Nguroje mentioned the alleged killing was not in Nigeria however it occurred in neighbouring Cameroun village known as “Pawati”.
“The eye of Adamawa State Police Command is drawn over a publication “Cross Border Banditry, Thunderstorm kill 18 Kidnappers iin Toungo, Adamawa Border Group.
“With a view to preserve the file straight such incident by no means occurred wherever in Toungo, Adamawa State as alleged however in Pawati Forest, someplace in Cameroun Republic.
“It’s not in dispute that Toungo Native Authorities is bordering with villages below Cameroun Republic which at instances criminals are available to and commit crimes.
